Uro-oncology is the subspecialty that diagnoses and treats cancers of the urinary tract and male reproductive system — kidney cancer, bladder cancer, prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and penile cancer. The KIMS Uro-Oncology team at Secunderabad brings together urological surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, and radiologists — meeting as a multidisciplinary tumour board before every treatment plan is finalised. This ensures every patient gets the most informed, evidence-based recommendation available.

Surgery is the cornerstone of most urological cancer treatment — and at KIMS, the majority of urological cancer operations are performed using Da Vinci robotic systems (Xi and X). Robotic surgery allows our surgeons to work with a 10x magnified 3D view and sub-millimetre instrument precision, removing cancerous tissue while preserving surrounding structures — nerves, blood vessels, and healthy organ tissue — to the maximum extent possible. This directly impacts recovery time, continence, and quality of life after cancer treatment.
